Apart from heart and cancer diseases, brain stroke is the third leading cause of death. Estimated 1/4th of victims die as a consequence of the stroke or its difficulties. A stroke happens when the flow of blood to the brain is disturbed due to a burst blood vessel, or when the flow of blood is blocked by a blood clot. This destructs brain cells as they can no longer receive the oxygen and nutrients that are needed to function in a proper way.
A stroke is also called a CVA, brain attack or transient ischemic attack. When a person has a stroke, the blood supply to a part of the brain is interrupted, and within three minutes, the brain cells in that area of the brain die. A serious stroke can cause physical disablement, mental impairment, and unexpected death.
Types of Brain Stroke
1. Ischemic Stroke
Around 85% of strokes are ischemic in which blood flow to the brain is blocked by blood clots or fatty deposits known as plaque in blood vessel linings.
2. Hemorrhagic Stroke
It only happens when an artery in the brain spurts, inundating the nearby tissue with blood.

1. Healthy Diet
One should follow a proper diet including fruits and vegetables because a 2016 research states that eating these can increase happiness and well-being of a person quickly. According to the doctors, your healthy diet should consist of olive oil, nuts, vitamin and mineral supplement, and grains.
2. Reduce Saturated Fat Intake
One’s aim should be to reduce the amount of saturated fat by 8 to 10 percent of total calories. Also, patients should avoid milk consumption, and cut down on fat products like butter or potatoes.
3. Lower High Blood Pressure
High blood pressure is a risk factor for stroke, and salt is directly related to it. Patients should consume salt less than 2,400 mg a day and must focus on eating foods like scrambled eggs, Yogurt, and soup.
